Job Description
The Grants and Finance Administrator is an integral member of a team that provides direct support for proposal development, preparation and submission of proposals to Sponsored Programs as well as post award financial account management for an assigned portfolio of faculty.
This role represents the faculty in communication and collaboration with university administrative offices and with federal and private funding agencies for sponsored research.
This position is part of a Shared Services model and team which support faculty across various Schools/Colleges/Centers.
This Center seeks to build new biological systems with the tools and techniques of engineering and brings together our leading centers in these fields.
The focus of the Grant and Finance Administrator will be to assist faculty affiliated with the Center in securing and managing sponsored funding for new and exciting research.
When needed, this position will back-up others in the Shared Services team – providing seamless coverage during staff absences or high volume deadlines.
This position reports to Sponsored Programs and staff will benefit from professional society memberships, training and development opportunities and an expanded network of colleagues in addition to serving on our Advisory Council for Research Administration.
