Kforce Looking for Finance Officer at Washington, DC Full Time

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Finance Officer in Washington, DC.Key Tasks: * Finance Officer will be tracking and providing historical information on prior years * Researching questions related to past or anticipated spending * Compiling budget submissions and underlying documentation * As a Finance Officer, you will be reviewing submissions for completeness Making revisions as requested: * Maintaining the approved budget and continually monitoring status of funds; Keeping management informed when the use of funds deviates significantly from the spending plan (such as a major change in operating strategy, exhibited by planned expenditures; Or major movements between class/object codes); And alerting senior management if any specific actions are necessary * Receiving supplier invoices (directly, from administrative support staff, or Office of Finance staff) and ensuring timely approval for payment * To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed * Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
