Job Overview
The Finance Manager will collaborate with Sales Operations, Transformation and Fleet teams in support of the Direct Store Delivery (DSD) business segment for the US. The Finance Manager will analyze operational and financial results, play an integral role in the forecasting and budgeting processes, and operational expenses in excess of $600M. This role requires a detailed understanding of financial reporting and a keen interest in learning the DSD route to market and all associated business processes supporting this segment.
The successful candidate will bring a cross-disciplinary combination of analytical and critical skills in a number of financial areas with the ultimate goal of driving cost savings and influencing business partners to operate as efficiently as possible.
Major Responsibilities:
Function as controller for DSD fleet operations, working with regional fleet and finance teams to ensure all financial statements are fairly and accurately represented.
Provide business insights, commentary and presentation materials for Executive Leadership Team meetings, operational reviews, management meetings, and financial reviews.
Build key components and coordinate preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
Continuously improve operational and financial reporting to help maximize efficiency in our distribution centers and fleet shops. Ensure all reporting adds value and links back to achieving AOP and any other goals set by management. Eliminate reporting that does not add value.
Routinely visit operations centers to better understand customer needs and conduct process observations to continuously improve financial support to your commercial and operational customers. Find opportunities to enhance operational capabilities and eliminate waste.
Provide ad-hoc technical and analytical guidance to field-based operations and finance partners.
Build automated modeling templates to quickly and accurately analyze capital projects and vendor contracts.
Develop relationships with business partners across the KDP enterprise, including the Corporate FP&A, Supply Chain Finance, HR, and Supply Chain Operations departments.
Promote an environment of strong internal controls and process efficiencies.
Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
Requirements

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
5+ years of related professional experience
Advanced ability to build detailed financial models in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated history of providing insights that led to improved business performance
Working knowledge of common accounting practices
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Access or other database program
Experience with SAP or similar ERP system
Experience with Planning Analytics/TM1
Experience with BI programs (BW, Microstrategy)
Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience
