KSC is a grassroots community organization that started as an all-volunteer operation and has now grown to where we need experienced, paid staff to manage our finances. This position will work to improve our existing systems and then manage all day-to-day financial work of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with Bookkeeper to enter time sensitive accounting data into Quickbooks online including deposits and withdrawals, generate invoices, run reports and other miscellaneous activities;
Track grant expenses and generate grant expense reports;
Manage weekly organizational payroll, including teen interns and contractors;
Manage systems for cash transactions, reimbursements, and apparel sales;
Work with board Treasurer and finance committee to improve financial and payroll systems;
Meet bi-weekly with Administrative Assistant and Executive Director;
Manage annual tax reports and other annual report requirements;
Attend monthly board and finance committee meetings;
Assist in preparation of annual budget, program-specific budgets, and grant-specific budgets and make modifications throughout the year as needed.

Qualifications:
Computer skills: proficiency with Microsoft, Google, and Quickbooks Online.
Flexible and a self-starter, able to multitask while also being highly detail-oriented with minimal direct supervision.
Experience setting up bookkeeping and payroll systems.
Education – High School Diploma or GED equivalent, some college coursework, primarily in the Accounting field preferred.
Working knowledge of general ledger, cost center, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and payroll.
Proven high level of organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to plan and think critically.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Pay: $15 to $25 an hour (depending on experience and efficiency)
hours: 10 to 20 hours a week, depending on the week.
Schedule: Flexible hours, some weekend hours required.
Location: Most work and meetings can be done from home or from our office. Some limited in-person work will be required.
