Kelly has an incredible opportunity for a VP – Financial Planning & Analysis in the Columbus, OH area with a premier Real Estate Investment company. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a starting salary of $300,000 – $500,000 based on experience and an excellent total benefits package. In this role you will be the driving force for growth of the company and make a meaningful impact in the real estate industry in a high-visibility position reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Please note: this is primarily an in-office role in the suburbs of Columbus, and relocation is possible for the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Serving as the key finance business partner to the CFO and leadership team by generating insightful reports to support strategic decision-making and recommendations
• Creating models and performing ad hoc financial analysis of business and financial data for leadership including cash flow projections and cost accounting
• Supporting the preparation of the annual operating plan by developing monthly forecasts and variance analysis
• Managing the capital expenditure planning and execution process • Identifying and researching key trends or industry developments that will impact the business and provide insight and analysis to leadership
• Building and maintaining detailed financial projection models (for land acquisition and sales) and supporting due diligence efforts on new and existing investments
• Assisting the Acquisition Team in preparing and presenting investment packages
• Supporting transaction due diligence and closing processes for Acquisitions and Sales
• Summarizing and presenting Key Performance Indicators through dashboards or other digital reporting formats (e.g. Power BI)
Skills and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required. CPA and/or CFA highly preferred. Master’s Degree highly preferred
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a financial analyst, accountant, auditor, or business analyst
• Real estate industry experience with a focus on land acquisition and sales highly preferred. Real estate joint ventures experience is a big plus
• Property management experience highly preferred • Advanced skills in Excel & PowerPoint with exposure to working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to retrieve data and perform financial analysis required
• Demonstrated success and experience with large scale real estate acquisitions and sales required. Examples of scope of work highly preferred.
