Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Accounting Analyst position is responsible for processing the day to day functions of the accounting department ensuring that reports are prepared, verified and accurate. Processes invoices, file data and organizes filing systems, enters data into the company database using specified computer programs. The Accounting Analyst job profile also includes verifying accounting data with internal employees of the company, check and crosscheck data that does not match and create records for inspection and auditing.

Roles & Responsibility

• Processes and maintains invoices in SAP & distributes invoices via EDI & hard mail.
• Leads EDI set-up for new customers & works with True-Commerce.
• Audits employee expense reports and enters into the system.
• Prepares accounts payable aging analysis.
• Prepares weekly selection of invoices for payment.
• Prints and obtains signatures on account payable checks.
• Files, reconciles and retrieves data for department requests.
• Prepares deposits daily.
• Assists with month-end closings and preparation of audit schedules on periodic basis.
• Prepares accounts for the Holding company-Jubilant Pharma Holding Inc.
• Performs Capital expenditure monitoring, fixed assets accounting in SAP and coordinates physical verification of assets.
• Handles and coordinates controls manager for SOX compliance.
• Performs inter-company reconciliations.
• Uploads quarterly financials in Hyperion for consolidation at corporate level.

Experience and Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

Experience:

• One year of demonstrated experience in an accounting associate or accounting clerk position.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in fundamental accounting principles and processes including state and federal regulatory compliance, as well as auditing and maintaining accounting reports and information.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to create and present reports, as well as correspondence effectively.
• Efficient in solving problems and working with diverse variables.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting theories and guidelines.
• Ability to perform basic and higher mathematical calculations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and with a strong familiarity with computerized accounting systems.
• Proficiency in similar accounting software packages and database applications a plus.
