Chase Auto Private Label Captive Finance
Chase Auto is a leading provider of auto financing with a portfolio of more than $80 billion in assets and relationships with 75% of U.S. franchised automotive dealers. The business is part of the JPMorgan Chase franchise and serves auto dealers, consumers, and vehicle manufacturers. It offers a range of products and services to meet the financial needs of its clients from retail lending, captive financing, and floorplan products to cash management, private banking, and payment processing.
The Chase Auto Private Label Captive Finance business has more than 20 years in the captive finance business and is the largest bank-owned private label captive finance provider in the U.S. We serve as the captive finance partner to seven domestic and global auto manufacturers: Subaru, Jaguar Land Rover, Maserati, Aston Martin, McLaren and EV partners Rivian and Fisker.
Job Description
We are seeking a talented VP to join the Strategic Business Management team in Chase Auto Private Label Captive Finance . This role will focus on Emerging Strategic Initiatives aligned with our Private Label Captive Finance partners’ strategic objectives and with the strategic objectives of Chase Auto and the broader Chase organization. If you are intellectually curious and enjoy working on complex projects spanning across multiple teams, you may be the perfect fit for our team.
This role will help to identify and develop opportunities to deepen our relationships with dealers and OEM partners by leveraging the unique assets and capabilities available across the firm, including Mobility Payment Solutions, Chase Offers, Travel, Dining, Sapphire Lounge, Private Banking, Consumer Banking, and external strategic partnerships. The role will also partner with Auto support teams including Product, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Data & Analytics, Strategy, Corporate Development, Legal, Controls, Risk, and Compliance to develop and deploy new strategies and capabilities and programs with our OEM partners. Examples of strategies include Chase Auto EV strategy, OEM partner EV strategy and market launch, Connected Car and Subscription strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities to bring together the assets of the firm to develop and execute strategies that support our OEM partners’ growth objectives
Lead projects from discovery to execution, organizing teams, scoping requirements, structuring meetings, quantifying project impact, and identifying issues and actionable opportunities
Support product and program development, implementation, user acceptance testing, operational and implementation impact analysis
Monitor Electronic Vehicle trends and strategies, and monitor the external environment for important competitive developments
Guide and support the governance and approval process for new strategies and initiatives, including coordination with cross-function partners including Product, Risk, Legal, Marketing, and Finance
Develop and deliver senior-level communications
Qualifications, capabilities and skills
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required; MBA or graduate degree strongly preferred
7+ years of relevant experience in strategy, business development or private label or co-brand partnerships
Strong quantitative and qualitative finance and analytical skills
Ability to leverage data and anecdotal feedback to structure complex problems and make decisions
A high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership
Intellectual curiosity and propensity to learn new subjects quickly
Strong relationship development and negotiating skills; ability to earn respect and trust among internal and external business partners and team members
Proven experience in collaborating across teams and lines of business within large organizations, including influencing stakeholders and working with diverse teams
Advanced MS PowerPoint and excel skills, with demonstrated ability to simplify complex subject matter into digestible executive communications
Open, collaborative, team-oriented operating style
Sense of urgency with disposition to execute
