Seize an opportunity to join the Finance & Business Management as a junior finance and business manager supporting HR Law and performing other general Business Management for Litigation, providing financial, and analytical support to the Litigation department. This finance professional will support the analysis and reporting of internal, external expenses and headcount.
As the Legal Finance & Business Management – Associate in the Finance and Business Management is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business. You will requires strong skills in metrics analysis, data analysis, spend forecasting, and financial analysis. You will be able to think qualitatively and quantitatively, recognizing and escalating important variances, with an understanding of the underlying drivers.
Job responsibilities:
Prepare HR Law metrics scorecards for monthly control forums (HRCF) and Quarterly HR Law Executive Management Report (EMR) for various Line of Businesses (LOBs) and sub-LOBs
Analysis of various caseload trends, financial outlook, and head counts related to HR Law
Report and analyze Internal Expense & External Expense and provide meaningful commentary
Annual budget planning and allocations review and coordination
Assist with HR Law and Litigation agendas, meeting materials, presentations, town halls, and offsites
Engage with Intelligent Solutions team for client’s dashboard needs and ensure the controls are in place
Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis
Organize complex information in a compelling way, demonstrating strong design acumen and expertise in Excel and PowerPoint techniques
Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and global managers, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing business processes
Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis to coordinate outlook, budget and financial analysis of outside counsel expense
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or subject of technical nature
At least 2 years of relevant work experience
Proven experience delivering timely, high quality presentations and/or reporting for various projects and stakeholders. Attention to detail is a must with continuous focus on design excellence
Demonstrated ability in dealing with different stakeholder groups and driving the agenda
Intermediate to advanced level ability expected in all MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot Tables)
Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong project management, time management, organization, and prioritization skills
Preferred required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience in financial services, business management, and/or accounting
Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner and collaborator
