The Treasury and Chief Investment Office (TCIO) sits at the very center of the Firm and is responsible for firmwide asset and liability management. The Associate will be a part of the Business Management team supporting the Investment Portfolio team. As part of TCIO function, the core mandate of the Investment Portfolio team is to aggregate and manage the interest rate risk of the Firm’s four main lines of business (LOBs) through an ~$300BN global investment securities portfolio. The Associate will also have an opportunity to partner across the business on key TCIO strategic initiatives.
Within the Treasury and CIO F&BM organization, Business Management is responsible for acting as a trusted advisor to partner with the Business, developing and executing key business initiatives, maintaining and enhancing internal controls/external regulations, driving technology solutions, and creating business efficiencies.
Core Responsibilities:
Partner with senior Business Managers to support the Global Head of Investment Portfolio and the broader Portfolio team
Align and work with front office and support groups (Finance, Technology, Operations, Legal, Risk) to execute business priorities
Support in driving key business initiatives and project manage new product initiatives
Identify, assess, and mitigate business risks that could impair the ability to do business, including:
Specific & immediate matters (e.g. regulatory violations, capacity issues, people dependencies)
Risks within new product offerings (facilitating the new business initiatives process)
Technology issues (e.g. product workflow across support areas and systems)
Assist in key business governance activities for front office
Collaborate with other functional groups as it relates to internal audits, compliance testing and external regulatory requests
Preferred Qualifications:
Business management, COO, or consulting experience preferred
Self-starter and able to effectively multi-task, taking a methodological approach to tackle problems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to develop and clearly present conclusions
Strong interpersonal skills, able to effectively interact with senior stakeholders
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
Strong project management mindset, able to manage and prioritize across multiple projects simultaneously
Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
