Document & Business Solutions (DBS) is the company’s primary mail and print production provider for the firm, globally, operating across APAC, EMEA, LATAM, and NAMR in more than 50 cities. DBS is responsible for providing vital products and services, including but not limited to, scanning, imaging, mail distribution, document creation/print/copy, messenger, courier, and fulfillment. Additionally, DBS manages the firmwide suite of digital products, including, firmwide office print (floor copiers/printers), Digital Mail (mail digitization), workflow solutions, document, design and content management.
JPMorgan’s Trade Doc Prep product provides end to end service from advising, preparation of documents through payment of Letter of Credits and/or Direct Collection to middle market clients. The Trade Image Prep/Post Release provides support to operations in scanning, registration and mailing required documents. The operations manager will lead two diverse teams responsible for ensuring high quality service within Global Trade. To be successful, the candidate must have a strong sense of global trade processes including a working knowledge of accounting, reconciliation, compliance, and trade finance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Image Prep/Post Release local team and Doc Prep team located in Tampa and Chicago.
Meet all daily operations deliverables including projects.
Investigate and resolve issues internally and with clients in a professional manner.
Establish working relationships with clients.
Drive continuous improvement of processes, and coach others to build skills and improve efficiencies.
Support all lines of business with escalated issues, and represent the global trade business to ensure timely and accurate response.
Support all internal and client-related deadlines.
Communicate clearly with business partners including front office, risk & control, and back office senior management teams.
Maintain all budget targets.
Enhance employee engagement and drive culture of recognition for excellent service and innovation.
Support Doc Prep and TPS system enhancements and requirements.
Necessary Skills & Experience
Thorough understanding of Letter of Credit processes including complex processing such as Transfer, Back to Back LC, and technical content of ISBP and UCP 600, URR 525. At this level it is expected the TSR would have a minimum of 3 years or more Export Letter of Credit experience. CDCS Preferred
Ability to work independently, and be effective in a fast paced global operating environment.
Exceptional leadership and staff development skills with prior team management experience.
Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships both internal and with external clients.
Strong client service skills.
Analytical skills, problem solving, good critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Expert use of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
Strong technical skills in operations environment working with multiple lines of business.
