The CIO Municipal Bond Portfolio Management team within TCIO is looking for an Associate or Analyst in its New York City office. The team is responsible for managing the municipal bond portion of the Firm’s investment portfolio.
Areas of focus:
Identify value and risk in the municipal bond market, and support senior Portfolio Managers in formulating investment strategies
Credit and relative value analysis, of potential new investments and as surveillance of existing bond portfolio
Trade execution and portfolio analytics
Build and maintain relationships with Wall Street trading counterparties
Work with other internal functions (Finance, Risk, Middle Office, etc.) on initiatives related to the municipal portfolio
Qualifications:
Two to four years of experience in a finance field, preferably related to fixed income. Direct experience in municipal credit analysis, trading, banking, or strategy/research is helpful but not required
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, along with an ability to collaborate well with others in a team environment
Self-starter who is able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to dive into details and dig deep into data
Understanding of core fixed income concepts
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Proficiency with Bloomberg, Excel/VBA, Powerpoint
