JLF is a well-established and growing Personal Injury firm with multiple locations in SC. We are looking for a financial manager to handle the transactions for our firm. This position is based out of our main office in North Charleston, SC.
Daily duties will consist of:
- Perform all bookkeeping functions, including (but not limited to) accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales, reconciliations, IOLTA trust accounting, and credit card transactions.
- Review and approve draft disbursement statements by ensuring all client costs are captured, calculations are correct, etc.
- Process daily check requests, client ledger requests, etc.
- Responsible for client disbursements including ensuring client account is balanced at time of disbursement, process all checks and wire transfers, prepares and enters deposits into all appropriate accounts for all departments and inputs accounting entries in QuickBooks.
- Pays all firm bills. Ensures checks are signed and mailed to vendors.
- Maintain the banking relationship with the firm’s financial institution. Process all deposits, transfers, wires, stop payments, positive pay file imports, etc. Prepare all required paperwork to renew the firm’s line of credit.
- Liaison to the firm’s accountant.
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly financial reports as well as any ad hoc reports requested.
- Responsible for various administrative tasks as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; QuickBooks; Microsoft Outlook, Needles Case Management software and Worldox.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A. / B. S.) in business administration or equivalent from a college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
