Responsibilities
Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department
Accurately communicates customer service needs to the RO by professionally greeting, listening to and communicating with the customer in a way that builds their comfort and confidence.
Maintains high customer satisfaction by keeping customers informed and updated on the repair status of their unit.
Effectively arranges for delivery back to the customer and communicates with the team to ensure repairs have been done correctly and the unit is clean.
Works with warranty person to ensures the pre-authorization, scheduling, and completion of warranty work in a timely and effective manner.
Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager or Advisors and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced
Maintains service department filings and records and service library with current information (for example, files bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.) under the direct supervision of the Service Manager
Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work order
Maintains service accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders
May prepare Service Technician labor performance, productivity, and efficiency reports
May process warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission, and follow-up
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Other duties as assigned
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
Experience working in a service department, preferably in RV or Automotive dealership setting
Experience with basic accounting practices
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Comfortable learning new programs
Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
Experience communicating effectively. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
