Job Description:

As the Digital & Social Media Manager, you will support the development, implementation, and coordination of social media strategies to support the business objectives for the corporate brand. You will also support the overall strategy, structure, experience, and content development for the J&J MedTech website. You will help to develop the editorial strategy, creative approach, channel mix, and paid strategy for the global JJMT social channels. You’ll collaborate closely with our regional and franchise teams to champion alignment and brand representation on our channels. With multiple business units (e.g., Ethicon, DePuy Synthes) within JJMT having a global social presence, it will be key to ensure connectivity across the ecosystem. Representing the JJMT brand to online communities, including media, customers, patients, and the general population at large, this position will report to the Senior Manager, Global JJMT Digital and Social Media and will be highly visible. You will work in close collaboration with multiple team members across platforms, functions, and geographies, including JJMT leadership. This role will have c-suite visibility and include social educational trainings, quarterly result readouts, etc. in partnership with the Global Social team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with JJMT team to direct agencies and freelancers to develop best-in-class organic and paid strategies, including leading aspects of digital and social budgets.
• Help to develop compelling, thoughtful, and unique social and digital media content to elevate J&J MedTech’s reputation and impact.
• Lead online communities for J&J MedTech, demonstrating best practices to develop a growing online community of followers.
• Support paid strategy and execution for Johnson & Johnson MedTech to reach new audiences with high-priority content.
• Counsel and collaborate with partners across various functional, franchise, and regional teams to ensure a constant stream of fresh content, setting standards, educating, sharing takeaways and setting measurement precedence on all digital properties.
• Partner on addressing and educating our partners, leadership (C-suite exposure)
• Potentially launch new and optimize current social media channels, working in partnership with agency and internal team members.
• Tell stories in new and creative ways: build and curate compelling website content and work with designers to improve the user experience for jnjmedtech.com.
• Set and ensure governance, standardization, and optimization of global corporate channels.
• Bring external perspective and new trends to the team for discussion and potential pilot programs.
• Supervise social media metrics for JJMT channels and develop robust reporting to demonstrate efficiency and optimize approach.
• Collaborate with enterprise, regional, and franchise colleagues to share standard methodologies and drive broad awareness and impact of communications strategies.

Qualifications

Education:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required in communication, journalism, PR, public affairs, or closely related field

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in communications is required
• Experience working with social media and website management, crafting and curating content, is required
• Authoritative knowledge of social platform capabilities and functionality is required
• A mix of expertise with various interactive project types including websites, mobile/tablet applications and digital video is required
• Ability to work across global organization. Self-starter, creative and collaborative problem solver, curiosity about culture and external environment and a commitment to excellence.

Preferred:

• Experience in regulated industry preferred

• Up to 15% domestic and international travel

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $93,000 to $139,000.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
