This individual will be responsible for directing and/or performing advanced, professional, independent and objective financial and business analyses of both new and existing business development opportunities utilizing a broad knowledge of financial and valuation modeling and analysis skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Business Development partners to provide financial leadership and influence in analyzing and framing value creating new business development opportunities (acquisitions, licenses, divestitures, and other deal structures).
Collaborate cross-functionally and at multiple levels of the organization to develop solutions and business case assessments with varying levels of scope and complexity.
Manage organizational complexity of frequent interaction amongst local and international J&J operating companies, several J&J Corporate functions (Treasury, Tax, Legal, Controller, Compliance, etc), and across several business functions, including Sales & Marketing, Operations, and R&D.
Develop business cases and financial valuation models for a variety of business development opportunities, including long term cash flow and capital structure analysis.
Identify and influence deal structures to maximize value and minimize risk while developing and presenting compelling business recommendations to senior executive management, including Management Boards, Group Operating Committee, and J&J Corporate stakeholders.
Lead pre/post acquisition Due Diligence efforts and ensure appropriate financial processes and systems related to Business Development Finance are in place and working effectively.
Other responsibilities include analysis of budgeting and forecasting, interaction with financial reporting on business development activities, valuation, and risk analysis, advanced modeling, market research, business case development and support for post-acquisition analysis and reviews.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Finance or Accounting. Master’s/MBA degree preferred.
A CPA, CMA or other financial certifications are preferred.
A minimum of 7 years of finance, accounting or related business experience is required.
This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and proven leadership capabilities.
The ability to work independently and handle several tasks simultaneously is required.
Strong technical modeling skills in Microsoft Excel and strong financial analysis and systems skills (Excel, PowerPoint, General Ledger and ability to pick up new systems quickly) is required.
Effective communication, presentation, influencing, leadership and negotiating skills are required.
Limited travel may be required 5-10% (both domestic and international). The position is located in Skillman, New Jersey with New Brunswick as a second location
