GENERAL SUMMARY
The Manager Finance Transformation & Shared Services will play a very important role in the Finance department. Departmental requirements involve financial period close, external audit, general ledger responsibilities, adherence to internal controls, treasury, and budgeting, internal and external reporting requirements.The Manager Finance Transformation & Shared Services is responsible for financial systems and manages the accounts receivable and accounts payables departments. This position works with considerable independence and authority, and is responsible for adapting processes, documenting procedures, enhancing efficiency through technology and systems, implementing controls in the department and throughout the organization and leading financial reporting and measurement initiatives. This individual must possess high level of integrity, great attention to detail, strong financial acumen, and a high aptitude for leveraging technology and financial systems.The Manager Finance Transformation & Shared Services will work closely with the IT department and the Finance Department Directors to manage the Authority’s financial reporting systems (currently Oracle Financial Applications, INFOR, PropWorks, and Concur), implementation or upgrade of new / existing modules, integration with other systems, and overall understanding and management of the Airport’s (financial) Management Systems (AMS).This position must strive for and achieve continuous improvement, establishing a high performing customer service-oriented team that is able to adapt to and embrace meaningful change.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manages, plans, and directs a team of staff dedicated to driving process innovation and digital transformation in the Finance organization and beyond.
Manages the diverse project portfolio, prioritizes projects based on the team roadmap, assigns, and reviews staff performing assignments, ensuring appropriate documentation.
Partners with the Finance sub-teams and cross-functional teams including IT, and business departments on the project planning and implementation efforts.
Responsible for using effective, project management and system development life cycle processes, by identifying, tracking, prioritizing, and overseeing all Finance department systems maintenance-related activities, upgrades, new development, or software systems implementations.
Manages and coordinates all project activities including leading business requirements gathering sessions, strategizing, testing, and training and executing new ways to improve processes and productivity and documenting specific decision points for evaluation and approval.
Understand and translate business needs / user stories into implementable functional requirements
Ensure functional requirements and reporting strategies are grounded in an understating of the technical table architecture of IAA’s financial systems and be able to communicate such to implementation teams, technical development leads, technical architects, and technical project managers.
Prepares quality assurance reviews of test results to ensure business needs are met.
Prepare and review documentation of procedures and policies used to ensure sustainability, stability, training, efficiency, and knowledge of IAA control environment.
Ensures business solutions adhere to the finance department’s high-quality standards and applicable internal control, statutory laws, rules, and regulations, as well as generally accepted accounting principles.
Assists with the development and execution of policies, and procedures to meet organizational strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
Manage a team of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Specialists.
Coach, counsel, mentor and develop direct reports, including oversight of performance reviews and providing career development planning and opportunities.
Empower direct reports to take responsibility for their job and goals, delegating responsibility and expecting regular feedback and accountability.
Lead direct reports to regularly exercise the organizations five (5) Strategic Pillars of Customer Service, Economic Development, Stability & Sustainability, Workforce Development and Community Engagement.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
B.S. or B.A. in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year college or university
7+ years progressive financial experience in corporate or governmental accounting, preferably with public accounting experience; CPA preferred
Operational management experience in the field of project management, systems development, and business process innovation, including experience training staff
5 Years’ experience preferred managing an Accounting, Shared Services or Finance team
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and internal control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Solid understanding of financial and accounting fundamentals
Significant experience working with automated financial and accounting reporting systems; Oracle experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to balance multiple responsibilities with flexible prioritization
Must be extremely proficient with spreadsheets (Excel) and Business Intelligence reporting tools
Able to work well with people across multiple functions
Comfortable with dynamic environment and flexible work schedule

Work environment: This position is performed within an office environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time if traveling from one building to another.
