We are looking for a Content Marketing Manager to join the Job Seeker Experience team. In this role, you will help oversee the quality of net new Career Guide US content, to ensure it offers the best career advice available online as informed by search intent, as well as the ongoing optimization of underperforming articles. The purpose of this content is two-fold—to help people get and thrive in the jobs they want and to drive awareness of, traffic to and engagement with Indeed’s properties and products.
Responsibilities:
Develop an in-depth understanding of the job search process and Indeed’s products to determine how we can best support job seekers at each stage of their journey
Ensure that new and existing content follows editorial guidelines, reflects SEO best practices and meets accessibility, legal, and brand standards
Serve as the managing editor for the Career Guide US content optimization workflow, including setting monthly, quarterly and yearly goals for the program
Partner with the SEO team to devise impactful optimization interventions, identify target articles and analyze test results
Build, train and manage a team of contract editors to optimize underperforming articles, thus driving additional traffic to and product conversions from those pages
Work with procurement team, contract vendor and editors to monitor performance of and coach editors, request budget and approve timecards
Establish a partnership and process with a new or existing vendor to take over and operationalize optimizations that have proven successful during the test phase
Identify and voice program needs, including budget, technology, headcount or other resources to meet and exceed goals
Who You Are
You’re an expert content creator. You have 5+ years of experience in digital content marketing, journalism or a related field, not to mention impeccable quality standards.
You have SEO experience. You keep your finger on the pulse of SEO best practices, especially as they relate to long-form web content, in the face of ever-evolving algorithms.
You’re tech-savvy. You have worked with various content management systems (e.g. Contentful, Wordpress, etc.), as well as project management (e.g. JIRA) and SEO (e.g. ahrefs, seoClarity, etc.) tools.
You’re data-driven. You have a deep appreciation for and solid understanding of tracking and analyzing data to devise strategies and evaluate performance for long-term success.
You thrive in collaborative environments. You’re just as comfortable leading a team of creative wordsmiths as you are digging into data with SEOs. You ask questions and draw on experience-based insights to forge connections and build effective partnerships.
You’re an excellent communicator. You write well and you speak eloquently. Your clear, constant and actionable language enables internal and external partners to understand your expectations, and encourages them to communicate transparently with you, in turn.
You’re a positive and proactive problem solver. You’re comfortable doing things for the first time and, when new challenges arise, you’re quick to identify and explore creative solutions. You’re agile, resourceful and remain cool under pressure.

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
