The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager is to oversee the Accounts Receivable department and to lead the team of AR Specialists, delivering excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Work to achieve the financial, operational and customer satisfaction goals established by Management. Ensure accurate & timely posting of payments received from customers, reconciliations of AR subledgers, and resolution of cash applications related issues/questions, including coordination of refunds, resolution of unapplied balances, non – AR payments, as needed.
NATURE OF POSITION: This position is a divisional Finance management position that reports to the divisional Assistant Controller. The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for meeting financial and operational goals developed by Senior Management as well as developing such goals for the Impact Fire AR team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain records of deposit and deposit details
Report, as needed, any unresolved or unpaid balances to credit/collections.
Ensure team’s month end close responsibilities are completed timely.
Assist with both internal and external audit requests.
Lead the Accounts Receivable personnel in providing a high level of customer service.
Ensure compliance with all applicable industry requirements and best practices.
Perform any other related tasks or projects as requested
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 5 years previous accounts receivable experience required; Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
Great Plains experience is strongly preferred
Ability to manage a high-volume workload with control, accuracy, and efficiency
Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and independent decision making
Professional conduct, excellent written and verbal communication skills required with all areas of the organization.
Ability to provide helpful, courteous, accessible, responsive, and knowledgeable support to staff, customers, and others at all times.
Capable of passing a pre-employment background, MVR and drug test.
In addition to the above, the most desirable candidate will have a four-year college degree in management or business administration or comparable experience
