Title: Director, Financial Planning & Analysis
Salary: Expected base pay rates for this role will be between $145,000 and $150,000+ USD per year at the commencement of employment.
However, if hired, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis (pay rates may vary) and is only one part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other IMAX sponsored benefit programs.

Required Skills
This role will direct all aspects of the FP&A process for IMAX. The position is set up to provide strong leadership for the company’s internal budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute the annual budget processes and the quarterly forecast updates
Perform detailed review and analysis of budget/forecast variances on a monthly and quarterly basis and present to department heads
Lead the modelling and development of the IMAX 5-year Long Range Plan and ensure it remains updated with key business trends and expectations
Assist in KPI identification and measurement and create reports related to those key business KPIs
Analyze variances between actuals and budgets/forecasts in order to identify drivers and trends and resolve discrepancies
Direct the strategic planning process by playing an integral role in building financial and non-financial data for the annual budgets
Build up financial models to support the strategic direction of the business
Develop and refine processes and standards for monthly reporting and budgeting/forecasting
Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial modeling as required
Review business plans of potential merger and acquisition opportunities and assist in developing valuation models supporting deal negotiations using financial statement modeling techniques
Provide ad hoc, in-depth analysis on different business segments of the Company
Lead a team of three managers/analysts
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 10-years financial reporting and planning experience required
Entertainment industry and public company experience strongly preferred
MBA degree is an asset
Advanced Excel skills required
Experience working with International entities preferred
Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills required
Strong inter-personal skills required
Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and collaborate with staff at all organizational levels across various business units is required
Previous supervisory experience required
Must be a motivated self-starter; able to work independently
Must have the ability to work well under pressure and with changing priorities
Must have the ability to think strategically and possess strong analytical skills
Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively in order to meet deadlines
Must have strong planning and presentation skills
Must be proactive with strong follow through skills
Must have discretion with handling confidential or sensitive information
Must have the ability to multi-task in order to oversee multiple projects at one
