The Opportunity: Vice President, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

The Head of FP&A manages the team and function that supports the CFO and Finance team’s efforts to provide senior leadership with high quality and timely financial information to guide decision making.

Key responsibilities include managing FP&A team, further building out the FP&A function, oversight of the firm’s forecasting activities (which encompasses several divisions and dozens of teams, spanning 3 countries), annual budgeting process, creation of financial reports and regularly analyzing financial data to provide insights and help guide decisions.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Leads FP&A team that produces key financial reports on a monthly and quarterly-basis, with the goal of informing senior management about the financial performance of ICONIQ:
• Monthly snapshot that highlights key firm and business unit metrics and performance.
• Monthly and quarterly expense reports that provide transparency in spend against budget.
• Quarterly department-specific reports to provide insight into the performance of key business drivers.
• Quarterly Management Committee financial update.
• Play a key role in adhoc analyses to help senior leaders make timely and impactful decisions.
• Create the firm’s forecast on a monthly basis.
• Key role in ICONIQ annual planning process, including departmental business plans, firm budget, corporate allocation review, etc.
• Work with Controller to forecast firm cash flows and manage firm cash activities (e.g., distributions of income to partners).
• Works closely with team leads across the firm to understand individual business dynamics, trends and needs.
• Responsible for improving processes and data integrity within FP&A and Corporate Finance.
• Regularly perform analyses and/or create exhibits in response to one-off partner and senior management queries.
• Manage one-off projects aimed at improving the team’s or firm’s infrastructure and processes.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in reporting or similar role
• Experience within the financial services industry, Big 4 accounting or management consulting preferred.
• Success working effectively across an organization, including different levels of seniority and different job areas.
• Desire to work in a fast paced, growing and dynamic organization.
• Experience building out a team or function; prior management experience required.
• Comfortable handling Excel-based data and reporting across a variety of metrics and different departments.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Superior communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and initiative.
• Highly motivated, self-driven and solution oriented.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and corporate finance; CPA a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in accounting, economics, finance, or similar field. Master’s degree in business administration or finance, CPA or CFA designation are preferred.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft suite of products preferred.
• Knowledge of Intacct and/or Adaptive is a plus.

Compensation Range:

• ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role, together with other compensation being offered such as a discretionary bonus, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $200,000-$250,000 together with a discretionary bonus, health insurance, paid time off, 401k participation with a company matching program, wellness stipend, personal education allowance as well as a commuter benefits program.
