The Director, Americas Finance will lead all aspects of planning, reporting, and analysis for the Americas Lodging Business Unit and its portfolio of hotels. This includes ownership of the budgeting and forecasting process, analysis of business performance and trends, and preparation of materials for the Americas Leadership team that highlight insights into past performance and future expectations. This role works closely with all areas of the Americas Business Unit including Operations, Legal, Development, Commercial Services, and Human Resources to support the existing portfolio of hotels, owners, and operators, and to enable future growth of the portfolio.
This position reports to the Vice President, Americas Finance.
Responsibilities
Serve as the owner of the forecasting and budgeting processes for both corporate departments and hotels.
Oversee preparation of monthly reporting for senior leadership within the Americas Business unit and other key stakeholders.
Lead the preparation of key deliverables that highlight insights to senior leadership on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Collaborate with hotels, regional offices, and corporate functions including Operations, Commercial Services, Investor Relations, and Global Financial Planning & Analysis to assist in the effective communication of past business performance and future expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in the review and approval of pro forma projections for new and existing hotels.
Coordinate with Corporate A/R and Collections to drive efficient collection of amounts owed to ensure appropriate cash flows.
Act as the point person in finance for review of new management and franchise contracts, as well as modifications to existing contracts.
Own the hotel planning application and ensure integrity of data flowing into and out of the application.
Develop direct reports and other team members by providing coaching and training, as well as seeking opportunities to stretch each team member’s skills.
Work on, and/or lead various special projects and initiatives, many with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications
Experience
Applicant should have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Finance or Business, with demonstrated career advancement
Prior roles should include communicating to and working with senior management
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required
Masters or MBA degree preferred
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
Proficiency with Microsoft products required
Experience with Oracle / Hyperion products preferred
