We are working with a client in Atlanta and they are looking for a direct hire Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant reports to the Assistant Accounting Manager. Maintains and controls the General Ledger Accounts and business transactions for the organization; applies the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records, as well as timely bank reconciliations of various accounts (specifically those with heavy ACH transactions); Sales Tax reporting for multiple municipals. The Staff Accountant is also responsible for some Accounts Payable functions, as well as the capability to manage ad hoc assignments and embrace new tasks as the company dynamics change.

Monitor and collect data to assess accuracy and integrity; analyze data; ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control; interpret and evaluate results, prepare documentation; create financial reports and/or presentations.
EDUCATION
A degree in Accounting (required)
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
4-year degree in Accounting (required)
1-5 years’ experience in basic accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, reconciliation, and month-end closing.
0-3 years accounting experience in Full Service Restaurants/ Fast Casual, a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and Excel a must
