JOB SUMMARY
Key Finance role in expanding Charter market expansion opportunities involving the integrated build of SMB, Enterprise and Residential customers. Responsible for driving financial growth by implementing the strategy, managing the completion of the annual capital budget, and all subsequent forecasts, including tracking of actual results. Assist with the development and ongoing support for complex financial modeling and analysis related to the market expansion business. Responsible for aiding in process and business rule development, performing analyses for strategic market expansion opportunities, and supporting business unit partners with end-to-end project execution.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain tracking tools, financial models, templates and data to support reports, dashboards, forecasts, status updates and ad hoc requests
Develop and support strategy, processes and business rules for new market expansion opportunities, including deal analysis, financial assessments, project execution, and post-construction ROI tracking
Mitigate financial and operational risks through the development, testing and execution of project focused financial models, including post-mortem deal tracking and analysis
Manage project intake processes with business units to ensure continuous review of integrated opportunity leads (e.g., speculative projects, cost-overrun projects, approved projects)
Train team members to research and analyze opportunities, develop deal proposals, and assess financial viability of new Charter market expansion opportunities, where applicable
Perform in-depth research and analysis of strategic opportunities at the request of senior leadership
Present deal proposals and financial analyses to business unit leadership to align on integrated opportunity assessments and gain approval on ROI results and proposed funding allocation
Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., Construction, Sales, Business Planning) to support end-to-end execution of market expansion projects, facilitate issue resolution, and drive process improvements
Analyze post-construction ROI results to monitor program performance and to identify, recommend and implement changes to strategy, processes and business rules
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Strong communication and analytical skills
Ability to manage a team of strong operational and finance professionals to develop and evaluate integrated build opportunities
Ability to develop, organize and translate financial models
Ability to partner and build relationships across business units to ensure the successful development of integrated build opportunities
Demonstrated organizational skills, prioritization skills, time management skills and attention to detail to ensure that work related activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner
Ability to work with minimal supervision, applying one’s own techniques and initiative to develop or enhance processes and procedures
Requires comprehensive knowledge of operations, construction and finance principles
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related discipline and or equivalent combination of education & experience
MBA preferred
