Reports To: Executive Director
Staffing Structure: This position works closely with the Leadership Team that is comprised of the Executive Director, Shelter Operations Manager, Shelter Veterinarian, Dog & Training Manager, and Outreach Coordinator.
Job Description:
The Finance and HR Manager works in concert with the Leadership Team in order to fulfill the mission of the organization and provide for the welfare of the animals in its care. As the top financial professional, the Finance and HR Manager assures transparent reporting, understanding of the operating performance and financial position, and contributes interpretations thereof for staff leaders and the Board of Directors. A successful Finance and HR Manager will keep all of the Humane Society of St. Joseph County’s bookkeeping in working order and is responsible for many facets of the employee experience within HSSJC. The Finance and HR Manager also supports and participates in the development and execution of the organization’s strategic plan. This is a full-time position, 40 hours weekly.
