Responsibilities
The Senior Finance Professional collects, compiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions. Involves financial modeling, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and creation of a long-term plan. Analyzes the financial implications of proposed investments or other transactions so that senior managers can evaluate alternatives against the organization’s business objectives. Works closely with operating leaders at understanding funding needs for a variety of clinical initiatives, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and helping to mitigate risks of potential headwinds. Begins to influence department’s strategy.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
5+ years of experience in finance/accounting
Experience with FP&A, specifically with forecasting and budgeting
Strong Excel experience, including strong proficiency with pivot tables, v-lookups, IF statements, etc
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong analytic skills with attention to details
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
Advanced Excel skills including using macros, building models, troubleshooting pre-built models for issues, etc
Previous health insurance industry experience
Experience with SQL or other relational databases
Additional Information:
This role is located in downtown Louisville, KY, Humana Tower.
(Remote will also be consider if the incumbent resides in the EST or CST time zone. However, the expected work hours will be in EST. This role is currently setup to be hybrid office.)

Vaccine Policy:
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Work-At-Home Requirements:
WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25×10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
