The Market Finance Lead is a key member of the Gulf South Regions finance team that will partner closely with Corporate Finance, Provider Engagement, Provider Contracting, Medicare Risk Adjustment and Market Clinical teams. This individual will manage a team covering a diverse set of responsibilities around Medicare Advantage financial business operations. The Market Finance Lead will support the Regional Vice President of Operations in the collection, analysis and reporting of various market data and trends to connect financial outcomes with operational effectiveness.
Leverage data analytics, business insights, cross-functional collaboration, in-depth business knowledge, and strong written and verbal communication skills to drive optimization of Medicare Advantage performance.
Lead and promote a team of Market Finance Professionals within the Gulf South Region’s Medicare Advantage line of business.
Support the regions bid strategy, product positioning and competitive analytics in partnership with the Regional Market Leadership, MarketPoint, Divisional team, and Product and Actuarial teams.
Lead actionable analysis and reporting that provides insight on financial opportunities for our Medicare Advantage Value-Based Providers in AL, LA, MS and TN.
Align with Corporate Finance partners on monthly cap accruals and monthly financial close process.
Demonstrate ability to identify key business and information needs, define data specifications and/or data modeling.
Establish a cross-functional relationship with multiple business partners within the organization to ensure the timely, accurate, and effective delivery of recurring and ad-hoc initiatives.
Support a positive customer experience and improved relationships with both internal and external partners.

Required Qualifications
MUST live within 60 miles of Metairie, LA with a possibility of 2 days per week in office as business needs dictate
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (ex. formulas, pivot tables, and graphs)
Team oriented, inquisitive and critical thinker
Strong work ethic, detail oriented and passionate for excellence
Proactive and results-oriented, with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
Previous health insurance industry experience
Management and leadership experience
Familiarity or experience with CMS bid mechanics and bid tools
Comprehensive knowledge of SQL, SAS and/or multi-dimensional databases
Data Visualization (Power BI, Tableau)
Hyperion Essbase
