Houston Dynamo Football Club Looking for Vice President of Finance at Texas, United States Full Time

Houston Dynamo FC is seeking experienced and passionate individuals for the Vice President of Finance position. The Vice President of Finance will report to the Chief Financial Officer and oversee Finance operations for the Houston Dynamo, Houston Dash, Shell Energy Stadium, Houston Sports Park, Dynamo and Dash Charities (501c3), and related entities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financials trends.
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of key decisions including introduction of new programs, strategies, and systems.
• Oversee financial reporting to CFO/COO, including review of a monthly financial reporting package.
• Coordinate with an external audit firm to conduct an annual audit and assist in the issuance of audited financial statements.
• Coordinate with an external tax firm to ensure all federal and state tax extensions and returns are filed timely and accurately.
• Understand existing debt structures and monitor covenant compliance including minimum EBITDA and Fixed Charge Coverage Ratio requirements.
• Oversee the organization’s cash flow needs by projecting cash position.
• Partner with Human Resources and Payroll to ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with the executive team to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
• Review and maintain organizational compliance with department policies & procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years in a fast-paced accounting/finance department with progressively increasing responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Certified Public Accounting license preferred.
• Experience in sports and/or arena management industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV accounting software and Vena budgeting software a plus.
