POSITION PURPOSE
The Digital Finance team is part of the Corporate Controller Team (CCT) and leads the continuing evolution of how we function and operate as an accounting team, including evaluating, our data, systems and processes to ensure optimization. The team is comprised of integrated competency centers that help business leaders transform the finance function by moving away from traditional, highly manual transactional processes to a predictive and proactive mindset powered by intelligent insights and automation. Day to day, the Manager will lead our Digital Upskilling efforts and evaluate new and emerging technologies to help enable our people and processes. In addition, this position will develop and execute a roadmap to deliver digital solutions in accounting/and lead significant ad-hoc projects including streamlining existing processes and development of transformation and change management programs for digital technology process implementations; and ensure compliance with Internal controls. The Manager will provide coaching and support to team members, along with supporting their development of business and technical skills.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Create, plan and execute various digital upskilling initiatives, workshops and digital innovation labs for Finance/Accounting teams
Evaluate various upskilling platforms and programs including benchmarking and make recommendations
Design, create and execute learning and development strategies and implement various learning methods (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing)
Manage projects for the team to ensure consistency of execution, balance of resources and quality solutions and serve as escalation point for any issues with specific projects
Understand big data in the accounting system and integrate findings in to accounting/finance deliverables
Manage transformational projects from planning to execution and post action review and change management
Drive adoption of leading-edge techniques and methods, both predictive and prescriptive; allows team members to develop new skills.
Enable the use of varied database applications/analytical tools (i.e. Tableau, Alteryx, Google BigQuery)
Actively use digital visualization tools to prepare results of data analyses in graphical form and to varying degrees of detail for the respective target audience
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to determine requirements and deliver results

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize deliverables
Prior product/program management experience would be a plus
Prior management consulting experience is desirable
Ability to lead and drive and change management initiatives
Experience in a large retailer
