Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites (HBMS) is looking for a talented Director of Finance to join its leadership team at a pivotal moment in our history. This senior role will play an instrumental role in helping us prepare our organization for the future. In February, the U.S. Department of the Interior submitted Historic Moravian Bethlehem as its first multi-national nomination to the World Heritage List. This is both a tremendous honor and the culmination of over twenty years of work within Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, our partner organizations, and the community.
Position Summary & Objectives
The Director of Finance is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction as well as day-to-day management of all financial functions of the five separate 501(c3) organizations. As a member of the senior management team, the Director of Finance attends Executive Committee, Board of Trustees meetings, Finance, and when needed Strategic Planning.
The main objective for this position is to effectively lead Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites (HBMS) finances, to ensure they support the HBMS mission and strategic plan.

This position is responsible for the supervision of the Bookkeeper
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Duties of this position are performed in an office setting as well as at various HBMS historical sites. The position frequently requires standing, sitting, bending, walking and climbing stairs. The position also requires the ability to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
