HireQuest Direct Looking for Accounting Clerk at Leander, Texas Full Time

HireQuest Direct is currently offering an Accounting job in Leander, Texas with one of our General Contractor clients. In this role, you will be responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, benefits, credit card reconciliations, and account reconciliations. At least 1-3 years of experience in accounting plus proficiency in operating software, such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Wave, or Zero. This is an excellent long-term opportunity with a growing company. (Permanent Hire is available after 90 days.)

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following

• Knowledge of accounts payable/receivables
• Review transaction classifications within general ledger
• Assist with preparation of financial statements
• Perform account reconciliations for a variety of balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Perform bank account reconciliations to support month-end close
• Prepare support for monthly sales and use tax filings
• Review accounts payable information for accuracy and completeness prior to entry in general ledger
• Keep accounting management informed on issues within the assigned areas of responsibility and supply support for any financial data requests
• Prepare budget and forecasts based on actual and projected information
• Provide accurate data for the completion of regulatory reports and filings
• Interact with our peers within the utility industry to determine how new guidance potentially can or will affect the Company and/or the industry
• Ensure data request responses are complete, accurate, and timely
• Ensure information provided is accurate and presented in a useful and understandable form

Requirements

• 1-3 years billing and collections or Accounts Payable experience is a plus
• Exceedingly eager to learn and implement processes and procedures
• High sense of urgency in resolving customer and vendor issues
• Willingness to learn and are internally motivated
• Customer service skills to ensure customers, vendors, and employees feel valued

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour
