High 5 Adventure Learning Center is an educational non-profit organization that helps individuals, schools, teams, organizations and communities use experiential and adventure education as a tool for social emotional learning, team building and leadership development. We are searching for a Business and Finance Manager to help increase our operational capacity in order to meet the demand for our work, and are seeking someone who is interested in helping us make a difference in the world.
This is a newly created, full-time position, crafted to work closely with the Executive Director, Associate Executive Director and Leadership Team to manage our financial and operational systems, support our staff and programs and become a vital part of our team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Finance
- Manage accounting and banking practices
- Budget planning, management, reporting, forecasting
- Perform and/or supervise all regular accounting practices including A/R, A/P, GJE, reconciliations etc.
- Maintain Quickbooks & chart of accounts
- Liaison w/CPA for filings, EOY reconciliation, and compliance oversight
- Participate in projects as needed – individually and in groups
Human Resources
- Supervise payroll and benefits
- Assist teams with employee recruiting and hiring
- Update and maintain employee manual
- State regulation oversight/conformity
Operations
- Manage office operations and functionality
- Supervise the Operations Team
- Manage various site and facilities projects, maintenance and relationships
- Insurance: manage accounts, renewals and audits; liaison w/ insurance reps
- Manage operational vendors and relationships
- Special projects and events coordination as needed

- Organized, flexible and able to improve and grow our systems and practices.
- Adaptable and eager to learn, seeks challenging work, has strong problem-solving skills, and treats new experiences as opportunities to grow.
- Solid written and oral communication and digital skills.
- Significant bookkeeping skills. Quickbooks Online experience is a plus.
Salary and Benefits: $45K-$58K commensurate with your experience, skills, education and training. We offer a generous benefits package that reflects the value we place on the well-being of our employees and their families. 24 days C.T.O. plus 19 days paid holidays.
