A member of the Sales and Channel Activation team, the Editorial Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in sharing key selling and channel marketing news and resources with internal and partner audiences to drive sales of Hewlett Packard Enterprise products, solutions, and services.
Description of duties
The Editorial Operations Manager works both independently and as part of a team.
The central activity of the Editorial Operations Manager is to review all news articles for NewsCenter—the HPE newsroom for sales and partners. This entails editing:
For clarity.
To ensure we communicate the points most important to sellers.
To match messaging to audiences.
To align with HPE Writing Style and Brand.
To reduce word count.
To facilitate the English reading experience for non-native speakers.
To ease translation.
For quality control.
The Editorial Operations Manager also:
Makes numerous daily judgment calls regarding the optimal placement of news to reach its intended audiences.
Produces a regular cadence of weekly and biweekly newsletters.
Ensures the smooth running of the news translation process and tracks the translation budget.
Manages the flow of news to various HPE and partner platforms.
Analyzes news usage data and prepares leader-ready reports.
Handles other related assignments.
Additionally, the Editorial Operations Manager may play a role in the organization of sales resources. This entails:
Managing the development of websites (sales briefcases) that curate the top sales resources aligned to an offering (e.g., a hybrid cloud service) or theme (e.g., intelligent storage).
Proactively coordinating HPE subject matter experts to advance the development of content.

Qualifications
A background in marketing, communications, or content management is desired.
The role requires a minimum of foundation-level skill in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Prior experience working in web content management systems (CMS) is a plus as the position requires the ability to come up to speed quickly on the use of the Seismic CMS, Smartsheet, and other online tools.
Prior background in information technology and familiarity with the HPE portfolio would be an asset, but is not required.
