Job Title: Finance Manager
Department: Administration
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
FLSA Status: Non Exempt
Summary Plans and directs accounting activities within a finance department or division of an organization by performing the following duties, personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll.
Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
Directs the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
Directs and participates in cost analyses and rate studies.
Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
Reviews financial statements with management personnel.
Directs the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Quickbooks Accounting software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current valid driver’s license, CPR and First Aid certification
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to write and administer grant proposals is preferred.
