How the Company is Organized:
The company is privately owned, family controlled with no public reporting requirements. The company does not have a Board of Directors. The strategic direction and major projects are set by an Executive Committee with heavy reliance on Directors who lead each of the functional areas. Heinens is run as a flat organization. Each Director has several associates reporting to them. Heinens does not have strict lines reporting and each Director interacts with each of the Executive Committee Members depending on the project the Director is leading. Each Director is a senior leader in the company and would be equivalent to a Senior Vice President in a traditionally structured company. Each Director is self-supporting as Heinens does not have Executive Assistants.
