Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking a VP of Finance at Methodist Healthcare System who is Responsible for ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting and evaluation of financial information within the Medical Center. In addition, the position will provide financial leadership and direction to Medical Center management. What you will do in this role:
Oversee the preparation and evaluation of the Medical Center financial statements, forecasts, annual budgets, ad hoc financial reporting and/or other reports required by management or regulatory agencies.
Oversee the contracting process for the Medical Center to include services provided by or to physicians or physician owned companies, services provided by or to non- physician companies, and other contracting situations such as training agreements, affiliations, memorandums of understanding and other similar situations. The position will serve as the Medical Center liaison for contracts related to Managed Care reimbursement and Materials Management.
Assist the Medical Center CFO in monitoring compliance with applicable laws related to financial/contractual matters.
Identify Medical Center operational inefficiencies and work with applicable management to evaluate potential process changes to achieve efficiencies.
Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and performance of the Finance Department; recommend and implement process changes to improve customer service and overall department efficiency.
Analyze monthly financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting rules and regulations (including HCA’s Accounting Policy Guides, Sarbanes Oxley and other financial policies).
What qualifications you will need:
Must have a BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or similar field.
Must have four years of progressive leadership experience with proven leadership capabilities within the healthcare industry.
Must have a minimum of five years of financial/accounting experience.
CPA preferred.
