QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
Master’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation a plus
5
years of public accounting experience in the preparation and review of tax returns
2
years of experience as a detail reviewer
CCH Axcess, CCH SurePrep, CCH Document, and CCH Workflow experience preferred but not required (training will be provided)
Must be authorized to practice before the IRS and must have, and meet the requirements for, a valid Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
CPA, EA, or JD/LLM license is preferred
Will need to be self-motivated and can work independently with minimal supervision
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for performing a detail review of tax returns that are routed to the HBK Review Pool
The types of returns:
1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 709, 990, 990-EZ, and 990-PF. State and local returns will also be included
While HBK has clients in many states, experience in any of the following states is desirable:
Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Florida
Seasonal Tax Accountants will be provided, and expected to attend training on software, policies, and procedures
Seasonal Tax Accountants may attend any continuing education sessions that HBK provides internally upon approval
