Position Summary:

The Director of Finance will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of financial operations. This position reports directly to the Executive Director. Responsibilities include financial statement preparation, cash management, budget preparation and analyses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory reporting and reconciliation, payroll, and all other fiscally related duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation, credit card expense report reconciliation, inventory valuation and reconciliation, bi-weekly payroll in Gusto)
• Responsible for vendor payments, including performing international wire transfers, ACH payments, and maintaining lines of credit

• Responsible for charging client credit cards
• Responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial processing, month end close, cash management reports, and balance sheet reconciliation
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and inventory statements
• Verify the accuracy of all expenses and income figures, bank postings, and financial reports
• Reconcile any discrepancies in financial and inventory records
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and projections
• Process bi-weekly payroll and sales commissions in Gusto
• Review payroll taxes and ensure timely payment of payroll and corporate taxes by Gusto
• Make quarterly State sales tax deposits
• Prepare and file annual company municipal, state, and federal tax returns
• Maintain files and comply with record retention requirements
• Negotiate the company’s insurance policies annually or as often as fiscally beneficial (physical damage, liability, worker’s compensation) and oversee the claims submission process
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned

Required Skills:

• Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals
• Thorough working knowledge of NetSuite accounting software
• Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities with superior numeric skills
• Possess well-developed interpersonal and communication, verbal, and written skills
• Must be highly motivated and have the ability to function independently and multi-task
• Must be detail oriented
• Expert computer skills – proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook with emphasize on using a merge program that transfers data to the appropriate forms Required Training and Experience:

Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, combined with 3-5 years experience in Accounting/Finance using NetSuite; MBA, CFA or CPA preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
