At HALO, HR is a shared service department with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence in Benefits, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Compensation and more. HR Operations is a newly created team that supports all parts of HR with process improvement, people analytics, information management, and staffing support. We are looking for a leader to build this department from the ground up. If you are a seasoned HR Operations leader that loves diagnosing needs, jumping to action to build out capabilities, dynamics of a scaling organization, and coaching a new team-then check out this role.
Responsibilities
HR Performance: You will create a departmental scorecard of success measures across all areas of HR. The scorecard and reporting will be the foundation for all other HR Operations process improvement activities.
HR Operations Roadmap: Once the HR scorecard is established, you will evaluate the current state of HR and create a prioritized roadmap of how to build out the HR Operations function to streamline work flows, digitize activities, and support employees and managers with self-service resources. The roadmap will be a living document, and you will be the steward that prioritizes high value activities and manage ongoing requests for feature enhancement, technology enablement, staff support and more.
Process Improvement: You will maximize the use of HALO’s HRIS with a focus on using the existing tech stack in a way that streamlines processes, automates work flows, and generates data allowing you to analyze the performance of processes. Your past experience identify opportunities for improvement, analyzing work flows, proposing solutions, and implementing changes will be critical. In addition to performing this work, you will be leading a growing team and coaching them on how to process change in the organization.
Digital Self-Service: A key strategy for HR Operations will be to increase manager and employee self-service resources to to connect them with more and better information, faster (e.g. recruiting, payroll, learning, performance management, compensation, compliance). The result will be on-demand access and relieving specialists within each HR Centers of Excellence of the activity of providing general how-to information.
Vendor Management: HALO’s core HR technology is Paylocity. While Paylocity experience is not required, it is highly preferred. Maximizing the value of the technology and the relationship with the vendor will be critical to the success of this leadership role.
Reporting and Insights: You will hire HALO’s first People Analyst that will focus on converting data into actionable insights for leaders in HR, Finance and the business. Through dashboards and reporting, this new function will accelerate decision-making inside of HR and across the business.

Partnership Mindset: Collaboration is critical to implementing new HR processes. You will convene peers across HR (e.g., Recruiting, HRBP, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits) and in other shared services (e.g., Legal, IT) to land on the right choices.

10+ years of combined HR experience
5+ years HRIS management experience
5+ years of process improvement work: identifying opportunities, analyzing the potential, proposing solutions, leading implementation, and managing direct reports to manage/sustain the change
3+ years managing a team of 3 or more people
Knowledgeable in HR Operations and systems
Solution-oriented
Experienced at managing stakeholder needs inside of HR and across business leadership
Ability to simplify and structure systems and processes in a concise and effective way
Ability to analyze, evaluate, develop strategic and tactical solutions
Experience in People analytics (Preferred)
Paylocity technology experience (Preferred)
