Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, this position is accountable for implementing the strategic plan for care delivery systems across the Medical Center, which is fully aligned to the HMH Nursing strategic plan. The Nursing Director for Patient Care assesses, plans, implements, monitors, and evaluates nursing practice and the nursing care delivery system with direct supervision of front-line leaders and staff team members. This person is responsible for executing and advancing the scope of practice, professional standards and care delivery systems as they directly relate to patient care, patient satisfaction and quality and safety outcomes for the Medical Center. The Nursing Director for Patient Care has administrative oversight for assigned patient care units and departments. He/she will work with the departmental managers to ensure excellent clinical, service, financial, quality, and growth outcomes aligned with the HMH nursing strategic plan. He/she will promote compliance with quality and safety initiatives and will foster effective collaborative relationships between units/departments throughout the HMH network.
