Overview:
PURPOSE:
This position works at the direction of Plant Controller – Fresh Division and in close collaboration with plant operations personnel assisting to maintain the integrity of manufacturing accounting associated with manufacturing plants and warehouses. This position is primarily responsible for supporting Mtn. View, Premier, West and Georgia manufacturing plants as well as assisting and providing support to the company’s shipping/warehouse locations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to move about inside the office and food processing facilities. Ability to operate a computer and other productivity equipment. Must be able to work in a high noise area.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Prepare plant monthly production trend report with comparative analytics against prior year and budget. - Prepare plant monthly manufacturing statements with spending analysis on Labor; Variable and Fixed Overhead against budget and prior year.
- Assist with the development of true product standard cost using activity based costing for goods manufactured for the assigned plants.
- Responsible for maintaining Bills of Material; Routing; Work Center; Manning and Overhead Rate files for accurate product costing.
- Assist with monthly inventory reconciliations of all categories of inventories for assigned plants.
- Generate daily and weekly KPI’s to help achieve plant financial goals and objectives.
- Assist with annual physical inventories at year end to true up perpetual inventories in system.
- Perform physical inventory counts in plant consumption locations for packaging materials inventories at month end to report true material usage variances for associated plants.
- Assist with development of plant annual operating budgets working together with plant leadership team for plant spending.
- Assist develop plant capital expenditure budgets working with manufacturing and engineering group.
- Perform root cause analysis and independently solve business problems associated with plant operations, inventory management working with Plant personnel Train and develop plant operations staff for new systems and policy implementations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance. - Experience in designing / developing data queries and reports from systems for operations analytics.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Excellent critical thinking with oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of individuals in warehouse, plant and management.
- Ability to work well with cross functional teams and meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem solving skills with the desire to be the team leader as well as team player at times.
- Ability to work well in a self-directed, fast-paced, changing environment with minimum supervision.
- Some travel required (up to 5%).
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
- Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
