Great West Casualty Company has an opportunity for an Assistant
Director on our Financial Reporting team within the Accounting
Department.

As the Assistant Director, you will have exposure to Old
Republic International and their senior leaders. You will be
responsible for overseeing and helping to manage the reporting
functions within our organization. You will play a vital part in
supervising and guiding a team of professionals while helping drive
change in efficiencies and strategies.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to establish goals and performance work
standards, while developing metrics that will monitor performance and
accuracy.
Collaborate with business partners to develop
change-management plans including strategy, communications, leadership
coaching, and training procedures.
Oversee the preparation of
monthly, quarterly, and annual financial, tax and statistical
reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting for GAAP and
statutory reporting.
Assist with preparation of annual budgets,
periodic forecasts, and special projects such as financial analysis
and software implementation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
Active CPA license
required.
P&C Insurance knowledge is strongly preferred.
Experience with analyzing complex data sets using financial
reporting related to insurance.
3+ years’ supervisory or
management experience, preferably within the insurance industry.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Strong working
knowledge of SEC rules and regulations.
