Job Description

As a Strategy & Operations Associate, you will be responsible for delivering world-class planning & forecasting and helping shape the medium and long-term strategic and financial plans for GFiber. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex financial and operational models, uncovering insights from various data sources, and translating quantitative results into actionable recommendations that drive executive decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and maintain comprehensive financial models of the business and other opportunities to assess medium and long-term capital needs, return profiles, and trends in key financial metrics such as revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, etc.
• Coordinate due diligence processes, keep stakeholders accountable and informed, and support the GFiber Executive team in the execution of various transactions
• Develop demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales, utilizing industry trends, assessing inventory requirements and projecting business needs
• Manage forecasts and provide key deliverables and insights, including monthly forecasts, annual budget plans, related revisions, and applicable pre and post analyses
• Document assumptions, create variance analyses, and communicate forecast drivers and changes leveraging a strong understanding of relational database concepts and technical ability to access and organize data
• Analyze operational and financial results and key performance metrics to support decision-making including creation of data visualizations and presentations
• Leverage strong project management skills to complete deliverables on time, while engaging with the right stakeholders and working across functions to ensure that models and forecasts reflect the latest trend lines and business strategies
• Manage, prioritize, and execute core and ad-hoc projects in support of strategic initiatives and to enable sound, data-driven business decisions

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent practical experience
• 4 years of experience working in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, financial planning and analysis, operations or strategy role
• Experience developing sophisticated financial, operational, and forecasting models in Excel and / or Google Sheets
• Intermediate SQL Skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA in finance or general management (a plus but not required) or equivalent practical experience
• 2 years of experience working at an Associate or equivalent level in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, financial planning and analysis, operations or strategy role with substantial exposure to senior leadership

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $106 K – $155 K + bonus + equity + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
