Director of Finance Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in financial reporting, financial planning, strategic planning, and annual budgeting
- Proactive individual with a continuous improvement mentality
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Manufacturing experience/background is a plus
- Previous Management/Leadership experience
- Experience handling high volume accounts payable Processing
- Working knowledge of expense reporting platforms – Concur Experience preferred
- Knowledge of accounting rules and regulations
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Above average attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines
- Working knowledge with expense report/credit card processing
Director of Finance Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 20+ (Direct /Indirect)
- 25% Travel Domestic/International
- Staff Personal Development Planning
- Promote a Continuous Improvement Culture
- Work closely with the Municipal & Industrial divisional SVP to analyze and advise on strategic decisions
- Capture, analyze, and deliver financial data and insights that maximize investments decisions and strategic decisions making for the senior management team
- Identify the economic levers and key metrics of the business, and drive operational focus and rigor around those initiatives
- Ensure compliance, clean audits, and proper reporting and controls and serve as a liaison between external auditors and the senior management team
- Clearly and concisely communicate (oral and written) financial and other key performance indicators and provide leadership and direction to the department staff, establishing performance goals and objectives
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institutes applicable planning and control procedures, and analyzes and report variances
- Manage cash flow and working capital forecasting
Director of Finance Education:
- Bachelor’ s degree in a business-related field with emphasis in finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience and training.
- MBA, CPA, or CMA is strongly preferred
