Position Summary: The AP Specialist will work closely with and report to the Controller, and will be expected to manage a high volume of invoices each week. This individual will primarily focus on resolving AP issues, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing payments and keeping the AP aging clean. Some purchasing is also required for this role currently.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following, and other related duties as assigned.
- Managing all check runs and off-cycle payments
- Recording all payments in Business Central.
- Reconcile account transactions with the general ledger.
- Setting up new vendors. Completing vendor credit forms.
- Ensuring all invoices and payments have the appropriate approvals.
- Receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
- Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process.
- Accurately records invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in Xero, Quickbooks or other accounting software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
Preferred Education/Experience
- 2+ years working with high-volume Accounts Payable.
- Experience with Business Central or NAV a plus.
- Experience with Stampli or other invoice approval software a plus.
- Degree in Accounting or related field a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
