Your Role
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our finance team, reporting to the Controller. Your responsibilities will encompass general ledger accountability, financial reporting, and contributing to exciting special projects. This is an exceptional opportunity to grow your skillset and work alongside senior members of our accounting department, receiving valuable guidance and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, reports, and records by meticulously analyzing and summarizing account information.
Manage general ledger tasks, including preparing journal entries and account analyses.
Skillfully research and reconcile any general ledger discrepancies.
Collaborate with various departments to update monthly accounting schedules and intercompany activity.
Showcase your analytical prowess by reconciling monthly revenue and making appropriate journal entries.
Engage with Group Heads and Senior Partners to ensure seamless monthly billings and revenue coordination.
Play an integral role in preparing for financial and bank audits, contributing to the success of our team.
Contribute to the preparation of monthly sales tax reports for our Nashville office.
Prepare and distribute daily cash reports to management, providing valuable insights.
Assist with collections, ensuring our financial operations run efficiently.
Handle various accounting and administrative tasks as needed, contributing to a well-rounded skillset.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a must.
Excellent phone communication skills to collaborate effectively within the team.
Strong computer skills, allowing you to work efficiently and adapt to new technologies.
Meticulous attention to detail to maintain accuracy in daily tasks and projects.
Ability to meet deadlines and adhere to policies and procedures.
A collaborative team player with a passion for continuous learning and growth.
