Gersh Autism is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a leader in the field of autism services, Gersh has been providing life-changing support to individuals on the autism spectrum and their families for over 28 years. Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Perform regular financial reporting and analysis to assist in decision-making processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement financial procedures and policies
- Conduct regular audits of financial processes and make recommendations for improvement
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational goals
- Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and financial reports for funding agencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial principles
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
