Georgetown University McDonough School of Business Looking for Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Finance at Washington, DC Full Time

The Georgetown Center for Financial Markets and Policy invites applications for a post-doctoral research associate position in finance. The one-year position will begin on May 1, 2022 and is renewable.

The position provides a competitive stipend plus support for travel and research-related expenses. The Research Associate will work closely with the Center’s director and other finance faculty, primarily supporting research and data analysis pertaining to on-going research projects. The successful candidate will advance a number of research projects from conceptualization through publication, formulate research methods, suggest options for improving quality, identify potential problems, and implement solutions. There will be opportunities to connect with collaborators and mentors, and present and obtain feedback on research. The candidate’s primary supervisor will be Center director, Professor Reena Aggarwal.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a PhD in Finance or related field by the start date. Candidates must show potential for excellence in research on topics related broadly to ESG, Corporate Governance, Market Structure, Digital Assets, and Institutional Investors. Candidates must also demonstrate excellent oral and written communication in daily interactions, and proven ability to clearly articulate specific information in areas of subject matter expertise. Familiarity with finance databases such as CRSP and Compustat is required.
