Georg Fischer Signet has been developing and producing measurement technologies for a wide range of parameters since the early 1960s. The brand joined Georg Fischer in 1987. The comprehensive product portfolio for automation consists of three elements: Measurement, control and drive technology. Most sensors with associated fittings are available in plastic. The control technology contains various control functions and the usual communication technologies. The drive technology includes pneumatic, electric and magnetic drive elements that can be combined with various valves and accessories.

Essential Duties

• Lead the development and implementation of the long-term strategies for the Measurement & Control portfolio, which is a part of our Process Automation product range.
• Define, verify & lead main product directions & product family strategies of our next generation single and multi-channel transmitters & controllers.
• By developing a deep understanding of the industry requirements, translate customer needs into an innovative product portfolio together with peer product managers and the innovation department.
• Continuous market and competitor analysis.
• Ensure product portfolio is fit for the market (performance, application, connectivity, digital aspects, user experience).
• Be a global product ambassador promoting our existing solutions & to learn about customer requirements first-hand.
• Own new product lines from the very first stage until market release and beyond.
• Support global strategic marketing campaigns.

Education & Experience

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical and/or engineering field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a product- or portfolio manager with a focus on process automation (flowmeters, analytical instrumentation, pressure, temperature, level).
• Understanding of the global MC market with a focus on the USA, EU & China in terms of main players & technology trends.
• Industrial background (marketing/sales/product management) in the field of industrial water treatment or wet chemical process industries.
• Digital Field Connectivity Standards such as Industrial Ethernet (Profinet, Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP) or IO-Link are not foreign words for you but fundamental feature sets you had touchpoints within your professional environment.
• Willingness to travel globally (approx. 20%).
• Basic know-how about UX design – best practices, user research & requirement definition.
• Motivated to join a young and dynamic global team with a hands-on mentality that strives to become better every day.
• The ability to zoom in and out from market to product feature set level and also a good set of strategical tools to represent portfolio directions from mid-to C-Level management well-structured and insightful.
• Well experienced to work across teams, departments & cultures with the ability to structure and coordinate different stakeholders.

Pay: $105,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
