Our Central Office is located in Spring Park Minnesota, adjacent to one of our clinics and overlooking Lake Minnetonka.
Why We Need You
- Manage monthly activities associated with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review, employee expense reporting, fixed assets, commissions, accrual accounting, bank reconciliation, internal and external reporting
- Develop and execute accounting policies and processes necessary to efficiently and accurately execute a monthly accounting close cycle
- Plan, execute, and enhance the monthly close process, including monthly financial reporting and review of financial results
- Research and summarize relevant accounting guidance to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Assist with the development and reporting of the annual budget and periodic financial forecast
- Coach and develop the accounting team, helping them contribute to company growth and personal development
- Partner with department leaders to minimize spend and maximize resource utilization
- Manage the engagement with tax and audit partners
If you are a resourceful, energetic, experienced, and hands-on finance and accounting professional, this new position could be for you. This role requires you to roll up your sleeves and handle the day-to-day accounting with the support of a talented AP/Accounting specialist, a part-time Payroll processor, and our CPA firm. Accounting duties will include directing all transactions related to the general ledger, payables, payroll, and putting together financial statements.
About You
- Must have at least 5 years of experience with financial planning and analysis
- A high degree of technical ability, especially utilizing QuickBooks and Excel. Experience with Dentrix Enterprise a plus.
- Must have the ability and experience collaborating across groups/teams
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
- Ability to build strong partnerships and communicate effectively with peers and external parties.
- Experience working in Dental or Health Care a plus
- Experience working for a privately held company is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- MBA is a plus, not required
Other Pertinent Details
The Director of Finance and Accounting position pays $80 – $110k per year, depending on experience. It also includes strong benefits and the opportunity to play a larger, more significant role in the business.
