The Products Finance Manager will be a key player in the Financial Planning and Analysis team for the Products division. This person will need to have a strong background in SAP, specifically the FICO module in order to hit the ground running. This position will also need to learn, understand, document and improve on current processes and procedures. This position will also be cross trained and provide finance support throughout the organization.
This position will report to the VP, FP&A.
Duties:
Manage the Products business unit from a finance and accounting perspective.
Be the bridge between accounting/financial policies and processes and business requirements right from quote to cash.
Participate in the sales quotation process and ensure revenue and costs are rightly mapped till the sales order level.
Participate in the GDT accounting month end close process including journal entries, reconciliations and financial analysis
Participate in the GDT monthly forecasting process and prepare robust bottoms up forecasts.
Create variance analysis between plan, forecast and actuals and provide management with improvement recommendations.
Ability to streamline processes and make suggestions on improvements
Able to synthesize complex data into easy to understand ideas, procedures, and process flows
Work with all GDT operations departments to determine proper accounting treatment for Products.
Make suggestions and have extensive knowledge surrounding rigorous accounting topics such as consolidations, foreign currency translation, and new accounting pronouncements such as revenue recognition.
Cross-train with other accounting and finance management to assist the CFO organization in meeting departmental goals.
Skills and Attributes:
10 years’ experience in Finance, 3 plus years’ experience managing finance function or personnel.
Must be an intermediate level user of Microsoft Excel with working knowledge and use of VLOOKUP’s, sumifs, and pivot table functionality.
Must be an SAP Superuser SME with a broad understanding of the functionality related to the SAP FICO module including GL, AR and AP.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving abilities and ownership of business issues as they arise
Must be extremely organized and pay attention to detail
Ability to work effectively with a variety of other departments both inside and outside of the CFO organization
